This blog is being created 100 words at a time, between two different writers. Neither one knows where the story is headed. It is completely free of plot outline and character development, except for each installment of 100 words (or so). This is the limit each author has before passing the story on to the other. The paragraph on top is the latest paragraph of the story. read down to the first addition.

This is what Jack Ebert is doing. He just walked out the door and started driving with no plan or destination in mind. On the road for three days he has stopped for breakfast in this small California coastal village.
He is oblivious to the others in the diner watching him, not hearing the whispers, "there's a new guy in town."
